Baby Nursery for Little Garvey

My sister is due with her first child in February.  Coincidentally, he (it's a he!) is due the same day our mom was due with her!  My sister asked me to come up with some ideas for the baby nursery.

Wall decals are very popular right now.  You can buy them almost anywhere, but they can be expensive.

Check out this school of fish swimming from wall to nightstand, and how about that color combination on the left?!  Cantaloupe and turquoise!

From jewelry stands to candelabras - animals performing a balancing act makes me smile!  I think the mural in the center is so clever.

My sister liked the animal decals best, but we decided to draw our own animals and paint a pattern for each creature.

We cut up newspapers to create our animals shapes.  Then, we taped them to the wall and lightly traced around them with a pencil.  They are going to hang out together slightly above and to the right of the crib.

After penciling in the patterns, we were ready to begin painting!  So far, I am liking our design.
